Assembling Hygiene Kits for the YWCA
Meyer Hill Lynch held its annual all-employee Company Meeting on 2/12/19, with a theme based on the health of our company. We incorporated a 30 Acts of Kindness activity into our agenda to benefit the YWCA of Northwest Ohio. Among the services YWCA provides is a domestic violence shelter. For someone getting back on their feet, it starts with basic health and hygiene. Our team assembled individually packaged kits of hygiene products to be provided to victims staying at the shelter.
The domestic violence shelter serves over 500 persons a year with emergency shelter and over 6,000 people a year with other types of services. The Shelter provides safety from abusers, emergency food and clothing, and access to police support. The staff and volunteers offer counseling and referrals to other community resources. The Shelter is an emergency crisis shelter that is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Visit https://www.ywcanwo.org/ to read about this organization and its programs.
President Lisa McDuffie spoke at our meeting to share with us the services and programs they offer. MHL is proud to support the YWCA both in its IT needs, as well as through our donations this month.
