Sponsoring the Maumee Rotary Annual Auction

Rotary Club of Maumee’s 38th Annual Charity Auction was held in February at The Premier. Over 300 guests enjoyed a formal event around the theme of “Maumee-Opoly,” based on the popular board game, Monopoly. Corporate sponsorships were provided by many local businesses including Meyer Hill Lynch.  This year’s Auction raised over $124,000, with the Special Ask Initiative to raise money for the Maumee Rotary Services Foundation.  The proceeds that go into this Foundation are used to support both local and international projects such as Compassion Health Toledo’s Ultrasound machine, Sunshine Home’s Transportation Van, Side Cut Metropark Pavilion, Maumee High School Performing Arts Center, Maumee High School Scholarships, a Dental Clinic in El Salvador, Girls Orphanage and School in Guatemala, and hundreds more.  Overall, in the 38 years of the Auction, Rotary Club of Maumee has raised over $1.7M.

MHL is proud of our own Michele Free, who ascended to President of Rotary Club of Maumee this year after serving five years on the Board of Directors in functional capacities from Newsletter Editor to Community Service Chair to Program Director.  Michele has been personally committed to the club from both the time/talent and the financial aspects of her membership.  Meyer Hill Lynch has been a proud supporter of the club’s philanthropic efforts with the Auction for the past five years.

Another team member, Beth Meyers, donated a handcrafted item for the Silent Auction. All her pieces are assembled by hand, and the pendant is her own original woven wire design. Beth's artistic pieces may be viewed and purchased at Bonita Bead Boutique.
